Welcome to the Summer 2010 edition of VISION + ACTION: Inside The Institute, published by the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) and The Employee Rights Advocacy Institute For Law & Policy (The Institute). Established in 2008, The Institute is NELA's public interest organization and shares NEA's mission of advancing equality and justice in the American workplace. The Institute furthers employee rights through innovative legal strategies, policy development, grassroots advocacy, and public education.


The Instiute is proud to launch VISION + ACTION: Inside The Institute, a joint publication of The National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) and The Employee Rights Advocacy Institute For Law & Policy (The Institute).

The Employee Rights Advocacy Institute For Law & Policy (The Institute) is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a cy pres distribution in Frasier v. Citigroup, a wage and hour class action brought on behalf of brokers who were improperly assessed fines by Citigroup for various work-related issues.
The Institute is the recipient of a one-year grant from The Public Welfare Foundation for a project that will focus on public opinion research about critical issues affecting America's workers - the need for government regulations in the workplace, banning mandatory arbitration of employment claims, and expanding affirmative rights for workers.
